As coaches, athletes, and parents participating in the ECHS Strikers, we will seek to glorify Christ in the following areas.<\/span><\/p>

Our Motives:<\/b> Our chief goal in everything that we do is to glorify Christ. (I Corinthians 10:31)<\/span><\/p>

Our Unity:<\/b> We will promote unity within our team, our club and our league. (I Corinthians 12:12)<\/span><\/p>

  • By loving each other (John 15:12)<\/span><\/li>
  • \u00a0<\/span>By praying for each other (I Timothy 2:1)<\/span><\/li>
  • \u00a0<\/span>By having compassion when others suffer and celebrating when others succeed. ( I Corinthians 12:26)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  • By seeking to get along with each other (Romans 12:18)<\/span><\/li>
  • \u00a0<\/span>By resolving our conflicts (Matthew 18: 15-17)<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Our Behavior:<\/b> We will seek to glorify Christ by imitating Him. (I John 2:6)<\/span><\/p>

    • By working diligently (Colossians 3:17)\u00a0<\/span>
      • Striving to attend all practices and games during the season\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/li>
      • Willingness to serve in any role asked to benefit the team.<\/span><\/i><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • By growing in Christ (II Peter 3:18)<\/span>
        • Being an ambassador for Christ and ECHS<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
        • By showing respect with our interactions, countenance, and dress (1 Peter 2:17)<\/span><\/li>
        • \u00a0<\/span>By obeying authority (Titus 3:1)<\/span>
          • By deferring <\/span>to the coach’s decisions regarding playing time and approach to the sport. If there is concern, the athlete will approach the coach to understand the reason for the decision. The parent will refrain from approaching the coach, but rather will encourage their child to approach the coach first.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
          • By practicing good conduct (I Peter 2:12)<\/span>
            • Modest in victory and gracious in defeat<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

              Our Speech: <\/b>We will speak in ways that are honest, encouraging, and respectful.<\/span><\/p>

              • By building each other up (Ephesians 4:29-32<\/span><\/li>
              • \u00a0<\/span>By not tearing each other down (James 4:11)<\/span><\/li>
              • By avoiding obscene language (Ephesians 5:4)<\/span><\/li>
              • By listening first\u00a0 (James 1:19, 20)<\/span><\/li>
