Strikers Discipline Procedure<\/b><\/p>

During a game or practice, the coach has the responsibility to maintain discipline on the field.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

If a player\u2019s behavior is harmful or threatening to a coach or other player, or if the player destroys property, notify the board immediately.<\/span><\/p>

For other offenses, coaches should follow the procedure below.<\/span><\/p>

First Offense:<\/span> Verbal correction.<\/span><\/p>

Second Offense:<\/span>\u00a0 Talk to the parent. A coach can have the player sit on the bench to take a break for a few minutes and notify the parents after practice. If the matter should not wait until after practice, send a helper to find the parents and notify the board.<\/span><\/p>

Third Offense:<\/span>\u00a0 The coach must report the incident to a parent and the board. The parent must be present to supervise the player during practices and games for the next week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Fourth Offense:<\/span> The coach must report the incident to a parent and the board. The player will be suspended from games and practices for one week. The player must be present to serve the suspension.<\/span><\/p>

Fifth Offense<\/span> The coach must report the incident to a parent and the board. The board may remove the player from the team for the rest of the season.<\/span><\/p>

Strikers\u2019 practices and games should have an atmosphere of grace and love. The seriousness of an offense is a factor in the above steps.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
