Strikers Discipline Procedure
During a game or practice, the coach has the responsibility to maintain discipline on the field.
If a player’s behavior is harmful or threatening to a coach or other player, or if the player destroys property, notify the board immediately.
For other offenses, coaches should follow the procedure below.
First Offense: Verbal correction.
Second Offense: Talk to the parent. A coach can have the player sit on the bench to take a break for a few minutes and notify the parents after practice. If the matter should not wait until after practice, send a helper to find the parents and notify the board.
Third Offense: The coach must report the incident to a parent and the board. The parent must be present to supervise the player during practices and games for the next week.
Fourth Offense: The coach must report the incident to a parent and the board. The player will be suspended from games and practices for one week. The player must be present to serve the suspension.
Fifth Offense The coach must report the incident to a parent and the board. The board may remove the player from the team for the rest of the season.
Strikers’ practices and games should have an atmosphere of grace and love. The seriousness of an offense is a factor in the above steps.
