ECHS Strikers Weather Policy
Strikers play in sunshine, wind, rain, and snow. We will not cancel matches due to weather unless there is visible lightning.
In cases of extreme heat, the boardwe will work with the other teams and referees to follow IHSAA guidelines for play.
The referees will decide when games must be paused for lightning. In the case of lightning, we will postpone games for 30 minutes and play after the storm goes through. If there is lightning during a match, play will stop. Players and spectators should wait in their cars until we determine that play can continue. If more than half of the match has been played, the match will end and the score will be recorded.
All decisions to cancel matches will be made by the board in cooperation with the other team and be communicated through Teamsnap. Players should not leave the fields until they receive word through Teamsnap that matches are cancelled.
